Kerbey Johansen, DVM

Dr. Kerbey Johansen has always been interested in healing, and she pursued a career in veterinary medicine at Texas A&M University at College Station. The journey began with Vet Camp as a high school student, then graduating summa cum laude from Texas A&M with a bachelor’s in Biomedical Science in 2003, and on to graduating cum laude with her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Texas A&M in 2007.
Since that time, she has practiced in Temple, Amarillo, Plainview, and Lubbock before coming to San Angelo. She has also done relief work in Christoval and Midland. After that first year in practice, she has worked exclusively with dogs and cats. Her passions are geriatric care, cardiac care, and lifelong wellness through preventative medicine and high-quality nutrition.

Veterinarian
Tanna Villarreal, DVM

Born and raised in the Concho Valley, this small town girl grew to love and respect all animals from an early age. Growing up on her family’s cattle ranch in Mertzon gave her ample opportunity to care for and learn from animals both large and small. She decided from a very young age that being a veterinarian was her dream and passion. She pursued that dream through attendance at Texas A&M where she graduated with a Biomedical Science degree in 2008 then subsequently graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
She has practiced at both mixed animal and small animal exclusive practices since graduation and still continues to see animals both large and small. Dr. Villarreal has experience in both traditional veterinary medicine and surgery and has recently expanded her knowledge to include Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine to offer a more holistic and individualized approach to each patient through acupuncture, herbs and diet.
In her free time, Dr. Villarreal loves to hang out with her husband, three children, dog Hobo and flock of chickens as well as help out on her family ranch.

RUDI
Vet Assistant
Hello! My name is Rudi. I’m originally from Houston, Texas but I moved to San Angelo to attend Angelo State University. I am currently majoring in Animal Science (pre-vet). I have loved animals for as long as I can remember, and at a young age, I knew that helping and caring for animals was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Being a part of the Main Street Animal Clinic is my first kind of vet-med experience, and I hope to further continue my experience and knowledge to achieve my long-term goal of becoming a vet and possibly opening my own practice.
